TANGO GROUP TAPS SUE VAILLANCOURT TO HEAD UP PUBLIC RELATIONS PRACTICE

HINGHAM, Mass. – February 12, 2002 – Tango Group LLC, a business communications firm dedicated to providing hands-on, senior-level public relations, marketing communications and strategic planning services, today named Sue Vaillancourt vice president and director of the firm’s public relations practice.

Prior to joining Tango Group, Sue was director of public relations for Work.com, a joint venture of Dow Jones and Excite@Home. At Work.com, Sue led the development of strategic messaging and positioning, media and investor relations programs, and marketing and employee communications. Before Work.com, Sue managed public relations programs for Excite@Home’s business-to-business division. While at Excite@Home, she was responsible for the public relations effort to introduce spin-off venture, Work.com, garnering national broadcast and business and technology print media coverage.

Previously, Sue created the first strategic public relations program for InfoWorld Magazine and gained extensive technology public relations agency experience at Miller/Shandwick Technologies. During her tenure at Miller/Shandwick, Sue led strategic public relations programs for Compaq Computer Corporation including the launch of Compaq’s Workstation division and product line. Sue began her public relations career with Creamer Dickson Basford where she was involved in all aspects of client programming for full service accounts such as Digital Equipment Corporation, NYNEX and Panasonic. Sue holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from New England College.
